National Charity League Honors Katherine Ferruzzo’s Legacy with Servant’s Heart Award
Nineteen members of the National Charity League (NCL) Memorial Chapter (pictured) recently received the Katherine Ferruzzo Servant’s Heart Award.
The new award is named in memory of Katherine Ferruzzo, who dedicated her time to NCL, serving families and the community, with an emphasis on volunteering with organizations that provide autism support.
After Katherine tragically lost her life in the Hill Country flood while caring for young girls as a summer camp counselor, her NCL chapter created this award to honor and remember her legacy.
Current chapter members who received the award went beyond standard requirements, displayed a true commitment to service, empathy, and inclusion, and received a letter of recommendation from someone who witnessed their heart of service firsthand.
